Fabian Schiller will be lining up on the Formel ADAC grid in 2013. The 15-year-old was highly successful in last year's Formula BMW Talent Cup and is now relishing the prospect of competing against the other 'undergraduates' of the formula racing academy. "Although the two vehicles differ significantly, I'm hoping that the skills I have acquired in the Talent Cup can be transferred to the Formel ADAC series," says Schiller. "Obviously though, the starting grid will once again be highly competitive, with top-quality teams and drivers from Germany and further afield."
Fabian Schiller will be driving for Schiller Motorsport. Team owners Hardy and Alex Schiller have already had a taste of success during their debut season last year, notching up a number of race wins and podiums in collaboration with partners G&J Motorsport. Their best-placed driver, Alessio Picariello, finished the season in sixth place overall, and they claimed fourth spot in the team championship.
Like almost all of the other drivers he will be up against, Fabian Schiller entered the sport via karting. The promising young contestant was bitten by the motor racing bug at the tender age of two when he used to accompany his father Hardy and his uncle Alex to various motorcycle and auto racing events.
"If I finish the season in the Top Five, that in itself would represent a huge success for our team and also for me as a rookie," adds Schiller, setting out the target for his first season in Formel ADAC racing.
