Three women drivers on Formel ADAC grid for the first time

Visser to stay with Lotus in 2013

Beitske Visser, the most successful female contestant in the history of Formel ADAC, will be driving for Lotus once again this year.

For Beitske Visser, this will be the second season in Formel ADAC. The Dutchwoman will be contesting the series as a member of reigning team champions Lotus. For the first time ever, there will be a total of three females vying for the honours. Alongside Visser on the grid will be Stephane Kox, the daughter of the 2010 ADAC GT Masters Champion Peter Kox, and Tina Arbinger, both of whom are new to the Formel ADAC.

18-year-old Visser is the most successful woman driver in the history of the Formel ADAC competition, having won two races last season. The first of these successes came in her home race at Zandvoort (NL) and the second at the Lausitzring. Visser finished the season in eighth place. Due to injury, she had to miss out on the Sachsenring race weekend and on the second of the two Nürburgring events.

Lotus have completed their international squad line-up well in advance of the season opener on 26th April at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Visser is joined by Dutch compatriot Indy Dontje who is also about to start his second year in Formel ADAC racing. The Oschersleben-based outfit have also signed up two rookies for 2013: Callan O'Keeffe from South Africa and Mikkel Jensen from Denmark.
